View from Melville Point - Off Red Hill Parade

Coming in from the north? Turn off at Mogo onto Tomakin Road. It takes about 10 minutes to reach this seaside village. Coming from the south via Broulee Road will take about the same. If you need a short break and prefer to be by the sea, you won't be disappointed if you do duck in to Tomakin. When you get there it tends to take your imagination to a different place and move you into a relaxed pace. The rocky foreshores, cavernous coves, pristine rock pools, long stretches of sand and awesome views of the perfectly sculptured coastline offer a top spot to do whatever you like to do to refresh and revive and spread out from the crowds. Paddle, picnic, swim, snorkel, throw in a line or just relax by the sea or along the Tomago River. Just keep in mind, although the waters are very tempting, the beaches are unpatrolled so take the necessary precautions. See the link below for warnings. It's the perfect place to let the pooch have a run or give the kiddies options to burn up some energy. There are no major services, but there's a general store and on the outskirts of town to the south a little more. To the north you will find most of what you might need in Batemans Bay or in the south at Moruya. You will find amenities at the beach and in the riverside parks.Tomakin is the perfect spot to immerse yourself in the spectacular natural surrounds. Want to know more? Check out the links below.
