CUTTAGEE

Get distracted at Cuttagee Lake and Beach. Pristine lake shallows, a long stretch of beach and away from the crowds.

Tathra-Bermagui Road - Where Cuttagee Lake meets the sea

Just south of Bermagui it will take about 30 minutes to get here from the Princes Highway in the north (turn off at Cobargo and drive south via Bermagui). Coming in from the south via Tathra it's quite a drive, about an hour or so. If you have chosen to travel the coastal road rather than the Highway between Merimbula or Bega and as far as it takes you to the north, it won't make much difference to your driving time and you get to see other cool spots on the coast as you go. As you round the bends from either way you are greeted with this nice surprise. A quiet place where you can stroll, surf, kayak, fish, picnic, soak up the surf and sand, play and paddle in or lie by the lake or just sit and take it all in with a view of your choice. If you are up for a slightly longer walk to where you can take in the views, hike up to the headlands. There are no shops, services or amenities so make the most of the bigger towns before you head in. There's safety and regulation signs dotted about - check these out when you arrive.
