BOODEREE NATIONAL PARK, Cape St George

Get distracted at Cape St George. Enjoy the uninterrpted views and explore the untouched natural surrounds.

Off Old Lighthouse Road

It will take about 30 minutes to get to Cape St George from the south via Island Point Road, St George's Basin or about 40 minutes via Jervis Bay Road in the north. Although it's a bit of a trek and there is a small fee on arrival at the national park entrance, if you like exploring or playing on beautiful beaches and/or taking in some spectacular scenery it's worth the trip. Cape St George offers fantastic views of the coastline and is a great place to see the whales migrating between May and November. While you're there, explore the ruins left behind from days gone by or stretch your legs on the man-made paths that wind through some beautiful natural settings. Don't expect to access services, but if you need public amenities there's some in the car park before you head up to the cape, in the visitors centre at the entrance and in the many camping areas within the park. Being a national park with protections in place, walking your dog is not allowed and you are expected to respect the land and waters. Once your done, if you have more time, get down closer to the pristine waters of Jervis Bay off one of the many beachfronts within the park. Murrays Beach is a top spot to stop.
