Get distracted in Bangalow. A vibrant village with a country pace and a coastal feel.
Only 5 - 10 minutes off the Pacific Highway or 40 minutes from Lismore, Bangalow is a delightful spot to stop and a great place to refresh and rejuvenate. It's almost like it's been especially designed for those who like to stroll the streets and pick up cool treats.
Although an uphill climb (if coming in from the coast), there's so many distractions, before you know it you are at the top of town. And when ready to rest, there's plenty of options to chill on street seats to rest the weary feet and just soak up the charismatic village atmosphere. If you also want to eat and drink (yummy things), there's plenty of cool cafés and restaurants and of course there's the local pub.
Need to fill up? Yes there's garages in town. Looking for specific services? You will find the basics. Want to walk your dog? Bangalow is dog friendly, but keep your pooch on a leash in public places. There are some leash free areas around Ashton street. Just check with the locals.
If you are passing through in May you might just catch the Billy Cart Derby or in August, the BBQ and Bluegrass Festival - both a treat !!
