Get distracted in Catherine Hill Bay, a magical place for a short break.
A unique little town perched by a superb beach only a few minutes off the highway via Flowers Drive in the north and Montefiore Street in the south. There's something special about driving into Catherine Hill Bay. It's one of those places you can't help but like. Perfect for a quick break, a long walk on the beach, a paddle, a swim between the flags, a surf, a picnic, a spot of fishing or a feed and an ale in the vibrant little pub that draws in the weekend crowds. Don't expect to shop till you drop, but you won't be disappointed with the natural surrounds and the village community atmosphere. Check the local signage if you want to walk your dog. Some of the images here were taken not long after fires ravaged the landscape. Even so, Catherine Bay still oozed with charm and community spirit.
