Get distracted in Mossy Point. Soak up the serenity and appreciate simplicity by the Tomago River.
About a 10 minute drive off the highway coming in from the south via Broulee Road and from the north via Mogo and Tomakin. Mossy Point is superbly subdued and a pretty place to take a break especially if you like to hang by the river or in riverside parks, throw in a line, paddle a canoe or kayak, learn how to paddleboard or stroll comfortably around town and see how the locals live. It's perfect for this and to top it off the scenery is magical and the atmosphere is totally laid back. There isn't much in the way of shops but you can pick up a coffee of have a feed at the very cool café and find public amenities in the park at the point. If you like to surf or hit the waves, probably best to head just up the road to Broulee or one of the other many patrolled surf beaches close-by. See the link below. It seems you can let your pooch have a run, but just check the signs. If you are looking for somewhere to revitalise away from the busy-ness of more popular seaside towns, Mossy Point is a delightful choice.
