Get distracted in Central Tilba. A vibrant laid back village. A great place to stroll the street, eat, drink, shop or just relax.
Central Tilba is only 2 minutes off the highway via Corkhill Drive coming in from the north or from the south on the same road about 4 - 5 minutes. On your way in or out at the southern end of Corkhill Drive you will pass through the tiny but quaint town of Tilba Tilba. If you have the time it's certainly worth a stop. There's some top little spots to grab a bite to eat, refresh with cold treats, pick up some edible goodies or cruise the shops while you stretch your legs. You can't help but relax whatever you do. The town oozes with country charm, boasts a laid back approach to life, and the locals are super friendly. If you want to take a longer walk around the mountains, there's an access point to the walking trail in Station Street. Check out the link below. There is parking at the start of and just in behind town. This is the best place to head especially if you are towing a van. The parking in the street and at the far end of town, don't leave much room to move around. Also they are often full. Need fuel? Yes, you can get it here. Need more substantial services, the nearest spots for these are Narooma in the north and Bermagui in the south (about 15 minutes off the highway via Cobargo). Take a break here. You won't be disappointed if this is your type of thing.
