Get distracted in Mystery Bay. A little piece of naturally formed paradise. A pristine, peaceful and picturesque playground.
Sitting between Narooma in the north and Cobargo in the south, Mystery Bay is only 3 - 5 minutes off the highway. If you decide to divert you are in for a treat, especially if you like uninterrupted natural surrounds by the sea. There's a great stretch of beach framed by grassy foreshores and rocky outcrops with the sea in between. The natural formations provide perfect spots to perch on the grass under a tree, rest on a rock and watch the sea do it's thing, cool off in the many rock pools, throw in a line, take the kayak for a spin, go for a stroll on the sand or explore the rocky surrounds. You might even see some of the local wildlife. There's not much here in the way of shops so if you are peckish or need a drink it's a good idea to BYO. Picnic tables are dotted around and barbie facilities are in the park at the eastern end. Bathrooms are situated at both ends of the beach - the campgrounds at the western end and the park in the east. You can walk your dog near the campgrounds (western end) but this is restricted at the eastern end, out near the point. Check out the link below for more info. If you can spare the time, do drop in. It's a perfect place to rejuvenate and will certainly help to clear your head.
