Get distracted in Cobargo without leaving a highway. A vibrant but laid back village oozing with coastal country charm.
Cobargo sits on the Princes Highway between the main centres of Bega in the south and Narooma in the north. It's about a 40 minute drive from Bega and a 30 minute drive from Narooma. Relax or stretch your legs in this colourful country (with a hint of coastal vibe) town. If you like to shop for alternative stuff, chill in an eatery in comfy surrounds and have the occasional chat with locals, you will love it here. The moment you get out of your car you feel a mix of coastal, mountain and country air. Although it's on the highway, at the quieter times you can't help but relax to the sounds of nature that surround the town. If you'd rather just chill away from town, there's picnic spots and parks scattered around and a rest area on the south side behind the pub where you can also walk your pooch (on a leash) and it's RV friendly. You will find public amenities here as well as in town. If you happen to be in Cobargo in February you might just catch the Folk Festival. Cobargo - charismatic, colourful and full of character.
