Get distracted in Ballina. Walk forever on pathways that wind around the waterways or just lap up the cool vibe.
Only 5 - 10 minutes off the highway from north and south via River Street. If coming in from the north via Tamarind Drive it's not much different.
Ballina has a little bit of everything. A great place to:
- Sit by the water
- Watch the wildlife from the rivers edge
- Have a picnic in the riverside parks
- Take a walk or bike ride along shared pathways
That stretch the length of the river and creeks
- Throw a line in
- Take your pooch for a walk
- Sip on great coffee, eat great food
- Shop for necessities or some other cool stuff or
- Just cruise around town.
To top it off the atmosphere is totally laid back with a slightly alternative feel, so you can't help but chill no matter what you do. You can walk your dog on a lead on most of the paths and there's some beach areas just on the outskirts of town where they can go for a run.
Depending on how long you want to stop, you are sure to be able to find something that suits you. Ballina - sand, surf, serenity and a big splash of seaside atmosphere.
