Get distracted in Callala Bay. A great place to relax, picnic or take a stroll on the beaches that go forever.
About 20 minutes off the highway via Forest Road to the Callala Bay Turn Off - then it's just down the road. You will come to a small town on the northern edge of Jervis Bay. It's got plenty of bayside parks, basic public facilities, picnic areas, options for places to stretch your legs, places for the kiddies to play or spots to just hang out. If you want to take the boat for a spin or throw in a line - it's the perfect place to take a break. While your there keep an eye out for dolphins and at the right time of the year you might just catch a glimpse of whales breaching in the distance. Looking to let your dog have a run? There's some designated areas on Callala Beach - check out the link on this page. If you need some groceries or basic supplies or need a feed, there's a few options, but need to do a proper shop or after fuel or services, best to stock up before you head in.
