Get distracted in Sussex Inlet. A small town with a bunch of waterways.
About a 10 minute comfy drive off the Princes Highway if you turn off at Sussex Inlet Road. As you get closer to town you'll catch the odd glimpse of the many winding canals the town is built around through the houses and the trees. Coming in this way, you'll be welcomed by a small seaside village where you can fill up the tank, do a spot of grocery shopping, grab a feed, check in for a medical need, post a letter, pay a bill or check out the local fashions, novelties or arts and crafts. Looking to picnic, play or perch by or on a waterway, take a hike, go for a paddle or throw in a line without fighting the crowds this is a great place to stop. Up for a surf you can do that too. Check the signs in the parks for where you can walk your dog or head south down The Springs Road to Swan Lake where there's a special area just for this. If you happen to be there on the second Saturday of the month you'll catch the flea markets where there's lots of local goodies.
