Get distracted in Lake Tabourie. Be surprised by not passing by.
You pass through Lake Tabourie when on the highway, but just a few minutes off to the left or right, there's some great options to take a break. On both sides there's plenty of spots to relax under trees, go for a stroll , bring out the picnic, play in a park, go for a sail, windsurf, canoe, kayak or ride your paddleboard. A little bit further east on the southern side of the lake, just past Lemon Tree Creek and closer to where the lake meets the sea, there's more spots to stop. Looking for peace and quiet where you can take in the sounds nature brings, you will find it here. There's not a lot to offer in the way of services so if you do need anything best to get it before you go in. Because this is a national park there are some things you should know, check out the link below and keep an eye on local signage especially if you want to walk your pooch.
