A delightful alterative to the highway drive between Forster and Bulahdelah
The Lakes Way is full of surprises and all of them just a slight detour off the main road.
If you take this route you are in for a cool mix of treats, like:
- Awesome beaches
- Stunning lakes
- Walking trails and lookouts
- Recreation parks and
- Waterside picnic spots
They are all in magical natural surrounds - The beautiful Booti Booti National Park.
Because of this, if you do have a pooch on board - make sure you check the signs.
There's a bunch of perfect spots to:
- Stroll along the waters edge
- Have a dip - Do take care, they are not all patrolled.
See Beach-safe link below for details.
- Take the kayak, canoe or paddle board for a spin
- Launch the jet-ski or boat and hit the water on ski's or a taboggan
If you get distracted here, be prepared to lose track of time. No need to panic though there's plenty of spots to park the home on wheels, pitch the tent or book in. The pics here are from north to south (Forster to Bulahdelah). If you want to get a feel of the drive heading north from Bulahdelah just work backwards through the pics.
