Get distracted in Nabiac. A tiny town with lots to offer for the highway traveller and you don't have to go very far.
Just off the highway. You can't really miss the signs and often when getting close you will notice a hive of activity.
Although it's a small town, it's packed with goodies. In the main street, there's:
- The motorcycle museum for bike enthusiasts
- Small parks to picnic in and
- A sprinkling of shops with food, fashion, art & novelty treats
If you need to take care of business there is a post office here and a couple of other similar services but only the basics. There's also services available if you need repairs done to your van or vehicle and you can fill up with fuel, just on the highway.
You can pick up some groceries, fresh meat and produce and other edible or 'timeout' treats. There's several spots to sit and have a feed or just grab takeaway. Feel like an ale or a pub feed? The Nabiac pub really stands out - it sits on the side-road that runs parallel to the highway - a popular stop.
If you have a pooch, just check with the locals where you can let them off their leash, otherwise best to keep them on.
Nabiac is a perfect place to take a break and great alternative to the highway rest stops. Want to know more? See the links below.
