Get distracted in Karuah, a great place to revive by the river.
About 5 minutes off the highway from both north and south via Tarean Road so if you are looking for a quick stop, Karuah will do the trick.
A comfy drive in and a country style welcome from a small laid back town. There's some basic services and shopping options and you can fill up with fuel.
If you are looking for somewhere to:

- walk the dog
- let the kiddies play
- have a picnic
- take the boat or watercraft for a spin
- throw in a line or
- just to enjoy a peaceful river setting...
Head down to Longworth Park on Barclay Street or Memorial Park on Memorial Drive.
It's also a great place to sit and have a feed on fresh oysters and seafood. You can pick these up from the local suppliers.
