Get distracted in Tuncurry. A boaties and fishermans paradise and an awesome northern welcome to the Great Lakes.
Tuncurry is a 15 MINUTE DRIVE from the highway via Failford Road and the Lakes Way from the NORTH. If you happen to be on the coast road around Hallidays Point/Diamond Beach, it's about the same. Just link back up with Lakes Way. Coming in from the SOUTH? Take the Lakes Way just north of Bulahdelah - This will take about 50 MINUTES with lots of cool distractions along the way as you wind around the Great Lakes systems.
Tuncurry sits right alongside Forster, so you get two cool spots for the price of one trip in. The towns are separated by beautiful waterways all of which are great for
- Fishing
- Kayaking
- Jetskiing
- Paddleboarding
- Kitesurfing and surfing
- or in some parts taking a dip.
Down near the bridge that connects the two (on Manning Street), there's plenty of spots to STROLL, CYCLE, CHILL or PICNIC.
Feel like a FEED or want to pick up some FRESH SEAFOOD, no matter which way you head along the waters edge you will find options for this. There's also plenty of other spots to EAT scattered around town. Got a POOCH ? Check the link below for info about 'OFF and ON LEASH areas'. If you need to PICK up SUPPLIES, fill up with FUEL, get CAR or VAN REPAIRS done etc.. you can find most products and services here.
