Get distracted in Scotts Head. A very cool coastal village with a great vibe and superb surrounds.
About 10 minutes from the highway via Scotts Head Road. A comfy country drive to a magical surprise. Perfect if you want to take a dip, surf, paddle, fish or board or just perch by the sea and watch the world go by at a laid pack pace. You can stretch your legs, on the sand, on the grassy sea edges, through the national park or around the headlands on the 'seem to go forever' walkways. There's plenty of great spots to cook up a feast and spread out food goodies in picturesque surrounds. Services are limited but you won't go hungry or thirsty if the picnic baskets empty. There's bakery and takeaway treats, a couple of cafes and clubs and also a general store and bottlo so you can restock. Does your pooch need a walk? There's spots on the north end of the main beach where this is ok. Head down towards Banksia Avenue to access it. If you are up for a drive on the beach, this is ok too, just pick up a permit at the Tourist Park. If you have the time, Scotts Head is a great place to rest and revive.
